Helen wrote an essay for this book about African art, photography and fashion.

Haute Africa accompanied Fotofestival Knokke-Heist 2014, Belgium's contemporary photography biennale. This year's edition brought together world-renowned artists whose works explore African fashion, dress practices and aesthetics. The aim was to celebrate African art and style as well as incite debate. The book was edited by the festival's curator Christophe De Jaeger and includes discursive essays alongside profiles of each participating artist, among them Martin Parr, Jim Naughten, Jehad Nga, Yinka Shonibare, Wangechi Mutu, Viviane Sassen, Zanele Muholi, Hassan Hajjaj, Nontsikelelo Veleko, Jodi Bieber, Phyllis Galembo and Namsa Leuba. Helen wrote the introductory essay pitting the history and rise of African fashion. She also acted as a consultant for the festival.
